Keno Tesoro donated $6 to Thomas Cotton during the first quarter of 2020, according to the Federal Election Commission (FEC).

Donations can be made to political candidates in various amounts. The FEC regulates these donations, and individual groups, excluding PACs, must disclose donations over $250 per year.

Two arrested for South Haven robbery

Suspects have been arrested in connection with the Nov. 16 robbery of the South haven Tesoro station, according to Wright County Sheriff Joe Hagerty. Eric A. Niewind, 27 of Eden Valley and Jennifer A. Niewind, 26, also of Eden Valley were arrested Tuesday, Dec. 13, in Stearns County on Wright County warrants for simple robbery.

Nov. 16, at 7:30 p.m., the Wright County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a robbery at the Tesoro station at 411 Custer Street East in South Haven. A man reached across the counter while the cash register was open and grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash from the till and fled from the store. No weapon was shown or implied by the suspect.

Dec. 13, Eric Allen Niewind, 27, and Jennifer Anne Niewind, 26, both of Eden Valley, were arrested in Stearns County on a Wright County warrant for simple robbery at the South Haven Sports (Tesoro gas station and convenience store).

Dec. 13, Mark Allan Kotilinek, 47 of Maple Lake, was arrested in Maple Lake on a Wright County warrant for gross misdemeanor DWI.

Dec. 14, Jeffrey Lee Flatum, 39 of St. Francis, was arrested in Annandale on a Wright County warrant for 1st degree DWI.

Dec. 14, Keno Coolidge Jamal Walkes, 32 of Cokato, was charged with misdemeanor fifth-degree assault.

There were 19 property-damage accidents, 1 personal-injury accident, 2 hit-and-run accidents, and

1 car-deer accident.

There were 10 arrests for DWI, no underage-consumption arrests,

1 school bus stop arm violation, and 53 tickets for miscellaneous traffic violations issued this week.
