Santa Fe in Hammond – Santa Fe Cattle Company

Went to lunch at their mall location. Typical steakhouse atmosphere with a variety of seating options. Food was good, but expensive. A minimum of a Jackson per person for unexceptional food.

The food is good and the service is good as well. You will not go wrong with their choices of steaks. Drinks are good as well. Great place to stop and rest for a while or a quick bite to go. Either way, you will be very satisfied.

A party of 7. We got seat fairly quickly. Our waitress very personable took our drink order. We ordered appetizers when the drinks were served and when those arrived we hadn’t received silverware or small plates. After a rather lengthy wait we got eating utensils and placed our order for supper. BTW, we are the only ones in the whole section at this time. Our food order arrives, one order was basically a hamburger steak and mash potatoes with gravy. It was so bad, a napkin was laid to rest on top of it. Another dish was fish that was cold but pretty tasty. Another dish was chicken with onions and mushrooms; so tough it could hardly be cut with a knife. Food was not good. However we did get a nice picture out front with the BULL.

The grilled chicken salad is very good, super burgers and the wait staff is excellent! Love that they advertise in “Lucky Bucks”! Buy 2 entrees and get a free appetizer! The Chicken Flantas is wonderful!

Not Impressive. Just average. The staff are good, but the food is eh! The chili is definitely NOT home made. I do not like chain restaurants, and this place is one of the reason’s why.
