Hi Everyone. I’m exhilarated! This idea came to me from the internet about 6 months ago & I tried it today with my own twist on things! I LOVED IT. 43 NEW NAMES OF PEOPLE I PERSONALLY SPOKE TO IN JUST 2 1/2 HOURS!
It’s called ‘Chocolates & Flowers’ & it’s super simple! It’s a take-off on the honoring professional women, but it has more flexibility. I got 4 dozen carnations & 3 bags of Dove Promises chocolates. Put the flowers in a large basket & the chocolates in a smaller basket along with drawing slips & 2 pens. Then, I was ready! I went to the car dealership (dropping my car for repairs), the Mercy business office, Mercy hospital, Assisted Living, a Bank, Grocery store, etc.
EVERY person I met, I said, “I’m giving away chocolates & flowers! Would you like some?” EVERYONE said yes! What is the special occasion? I responded with this, “We are celebrating Mary Kay’s 40th anniversary & I’m handing out flowers & chocolates so you can celebrate with us! What color would you like? _______ What chocolate would you like? _________ We are also having a giveaway of a $40 Gift Basket! Would you like to enter to win?” Hand them a drawing slip & a pen & wait. Thank them for their time & go on to the next person. It’s so incredibly simple because you can talk to EVERYONE! I even talked to men & gave them a flower to take to their special someone, a chocolate for him, & then asked if they would like to enter her name in the drawing. I found the carnations at a grocery store florist for 8.50 per dozen. The total cost was about $80.00 including the baskets. I handed out 84 carnations & ended up with 43 leads of women that indicated they do not have a MK consultant. I discarded the names of the entries that do have a consultant.
I am using this booking dialogue to call the winner For the winner: “Hi Mary, this is Ann Jones. Do you have a quick minute?” _____ “Great! Do you remember the drawing you entered for the $40 gift basket for MK? _______ You are the grand prize winner! Isn’t that exciting? We just need to schedule a pampering session for you so you can play & select your prizes! The best part about this is that you get to custom design your prize! When is better for you _____ or _________? (Set the time & then add): Mary, remember when I shared with you that we are doing this to celebrate MK’s 40th anniversary? _____ The company has challenged me to do makeovers on 30 women this month to celebrate this milestone! Is there any reason you wouldn’t want to share your pamper session with a few friends? It’s more fun & it would really help me out. Can you think of a few friends that may want to join you? _______ Great! (The Grand Prize is ONLY awarded at a free makeover.)
When calling the other names, say: “. ____ this ______ is with Mary Kay Cosmetics. I met you when I was handing out chocolates & flowers Wednesday. Do you remember me? ______ Great! Do you have a minute? _______Great! I did the drawing & you didn’t win the grand prize, but you did win one of my runner up drawings! You’ve won your choice of a free makeover or a satin hands & body aromatherapy session & $10.00 in Free MK! Which one would you like? ___________ Which is better for you, daytime or evening? (Set the time & then add): Mary, remember when I shared with you that we are doing this to celebrate MK’s 40th anniversary? _____ The company has challenged me to do makeovers on 30 women this month to celebrate this milestone! Is there any reason you wouldn’t want to share your pamper session with a few friends? It’s more fun & it would really help me out. 37th Anniversary Bookings
This idea was given to us by our Director at meeting last week and I have already had wonderful results. I believe the idea came from a Tarbet Area Director. Offer your hostess the opportunity to receive any one item from the Mary Kay line for 37 cents. There are a few requirements. She has a Beauty Bash, TimeWise Skin Care Class, Holiday Coffee, or one of our many class ideas.
1. On the day scheduled.
2. 4 or more non MK users, 18 or older.
3. $200 in sales.
4. At least 1 booking from her appt. (can be booked prior to this night).
Of course there is no other hostess credit. Also give her a time period in which this must be booked. Ours went from the 13th to 10/13. Then next month you can offer it again to the hostess booked from these classes, or as a Fall Color Tour and the list can go on and on.
