Lottery fever is starting to heat up as summer ticks closer after someone from North Carolina won the recent Powerball jackpot and the Mega Millions was recently won in California.
Here are the Powerball numbers for Saturday, June 22:

The jackpot was an estimated $108 million and the cash option for Saturday’s drawing was $70.4 million, according to the Powerball website.
No one matched all six numbers so the jackpot will rise to $108 million for Wednesday’s drawing with a cash option of $70.4 million. Three tickets sold in Louisiana, Michigan and Wisconsin matched all five white balls to claim a million-dollar prize.
Unfortunately, anyone hoping to stay under the radar with future winnings is out of luck. In New Jersey, winners are required to be identified. But maybe not for long after a bill was introduced in the NJ State Legislature to allow winners to remain anonymous.
If you’re dreaming of winning the Powerball jackpot, you should probably call a lawyer and be ready to tell lots of people no because life is about to get a little hectic.

There was no overall winner so the jackpot will rise to $117 million with a cash option of $94.9 million for Saturday night’s drawing. One ticket sold in Georgia matched all five white balls to win $1 million.
Meanwhile, the Mega Millions jackpot is at $124 million with a cash option of $99.9 million for Friday night’s drawing, according to the Mega Millions website.
Until recently, lottery winners in New Jersey were required to be identified, but now winners will be able to stay anonymous under a new law that was signed by Gov. Phil Murphy.
