Someone out there just became a millionaire.

The Pennsylvania Lottery announced on Nov. 2 that someone bought an online Powerball ticket worth $1 million. It’s the first time someone has received $1 million on the state’s online Powerball platform.

The winning ticket had the numbers 02-06-40-42-55 — all five of the numbers drawn on Oct. 31.

Were you the big winner? Claim your ticket at the Pennsylvania Lottery office closest to you. You’ll have up to one year to claim the prize.

In addition to the person who won $1 million, more than 25,000 people won various amounts during the last drawing. The lottery encourages everyone who entered to check their ticket, just in case.

The Powerball jackpot will be an estimated annuity value of $137 million by the time of the next drawing on Nov. 4.

Pennsylvania Lottery ticket sales benefit programs geared towards helping senior citizens in Pennsylvania, including programs that provide transportation services and assistance with prescription bills. Since 1972, the Pennsylvania Lottery has raised more than $31 billion for these efforts.

Pennsylvania Lottery sells first $1 million Powerball ticket online

MIDDLETOWN, Pa, — Someone is $1 million richer, and they bought the winning Powerball ticket from the Pennsylvania Lottery online.

It is the Pennsylvania Lottery’s first winner of that amount since the Powerball was added to the lottery’s online platform earlier this year.

Lottery online games can be played on a computer, tablet or mobile device.

The winning ticket matched all five white balls drawn for Saturday’s Powerball drawing: 02-06-40-42-55.

Powerball winners have one year from the drawing date to claim their prize. The ticket holder should sign the ticket, call the Lottery at 1-800-692-7481 and file a claim at the nearest Lottery office.

More than 25,000 other PA Lottery Powerball tickets won prizes of various amounts in the drawing.

The next Powerball drawing on Nov. 4 will be worth an estimated annuity value of $137 million, or $106.6 million cash.
