The Virginia Lottery is currently seeking a part-time Computer Operations Associate to join our Information Technology Services Department.
The Computer Operations Associate leads and monitors the technical operations of all information and communication systems at the Production Data Center. The individual in this role monitors the status, conducts batch processing and carries out processes related to the daily drawings and ensures their accuracy. Major areas of focus include duties required for multi-state drawings and updating player information as appropriate.
Additional duties include completing necessary processes and procedures related to the Lottery electronic subscription system, receiving winning numbers, verifying information and recording/communicating that information in various Lottery systems. In addition, this individual will be responsible for monitoring various internal control systems, creating and balancing various reports and identifying, recording and rectifying exceptions.
This is a part-time, hourly position without benefits. Less than 30 hours per week, but may vary based on business needs. This position has a rotating schedule which includes weekdays and rotating weekends. Flexibility is a must as this person will be filling in as needed on any of three shifts.
The selected candidate will possess:
Experience working as a Computer Operator in a fast paced, time sensitive production environment. This role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and a high level of attention to detail
- Lottery experience preferred
- Extensive Computer Operations experience preferred
The selected candidate will be required to pass a background investigation.
